Laminar Flow Hoods for safe chemotherapy
The key component of a laminar flow hood is a high-efficiency HEPA filter, which removes nearly all bacteria from the air. Room air is pre-filtered for dust and contaminants, then compressed and passed through the HEPA filter, ensuring a uniform, purified airflow across the work surface.
Additionally, the facility offers cancer and blood disorder management counselling, rehabilitation advice, and a pantry with complimentary tea, coffee, and soup.
On-site Laboratory
There is an on-site laboratory which does urgent CBC, blood smear and bone marrow staining for rapid viewing. This is extremely helpful to obtain a rapid diagnosis and quick discussion as well as for appropriate further testing needed. All other investigations are then sent to quality controlled laboratories for quality assured reports.
